Hypervolt EV Charger Installation in Newton-le-Willows

If you’ve decided the Hypervolt is the right charger for your home, you’ll want it installed neatly, safely and set up to work with your energy tariff and, if you have them, your solar panels. That’s exactly what we do.

ProElec Electrical Services Ltd is a local, NICEIC Approved Contractor based in Newton-le-Willows. We install and commission home EV chargers across Newton-le-Willows, St Helens, Warrington, Wigan and nearby areas, with appointments arranged at sensible times and work carried out cleanly and to the latest wiring regulations.

Why Hypervolt?

  • Premium build and weather protection – Hypervolt Home 3 Pro is IP66 rated, designed for UK conditions and available with 5 m, 7.5 m or 10 m tethered cables.

  • Smart-tariff ready – Optimise charging around off-peak tariffs to cut costs automatically, with schedules you control in the Hypervolt app.

  • Solar-aware charging – With a CT clamp fitted, Hypervolt can use surplus solar generation before topping up from the grid.

  • Built-in safety – Integrated PEN fault protection and internal 6 mA DC RCD meet UK requirements and usually remove the need for an earth rod on PME supplies.

  • A tidy install that looks the part – Three colour options and a compact, modern design help the unit blend with your home.

What your Hypervolt installation includes

  1. Pre-check and load assessment
We confirm your supply, main fuse rating and consumer unit capacity, then agree the cable route and charger position.

  2. DNO notification
We handle the standard notification process required for domestic EV charge points.

  3. Professional mounting and wiring
The charger is installed on its own dedicated circuit to BS 7671:2018 (A2) standards, with appropriate protection and isolation.

  4. CT clamp for smart features
We fit and test the CT clamp so Automatic Load Management and, where relevant, solar divert work correctly.

  5. App setup and handover
We pair the charger to your Wi-Fi, help set tariffs and schedules in the app, and show you how to lock the unit, check usage and run off-peak schedules.

  6. Certification and aftercare
You receive the electrical certificate and charger documentation, plus friendly support if you need help later.

Options and advice we’ll run through with you

  • Cable length and colour: 5 m, 7.5 m or 10 m tethered; colour options to suit your property.

  • App features: Scheduling, usage history, remote lock and smart-tariff modes for cheaper night-time charging.

  • Solar integration: If you have PV (now or later), Hypervolt can prioritise surplus generation when the CT clamp detects export.

  • Safety and compliance: Built-in PEN fault protection and DC RCD to meet UK rules without an external earth rod on most PME supplies.

Typical timeline

  • Survey and quote – Quick site check; photos are fine for most homes.

  • Install day – Usually completed within a single visit; we keep disruption low and tidy up as we go.

  • Go live – App connected, schedules set, certificate issued, and you’re ready to charge.

Helpful FAQs

Do I need off-street parking?
Ideally, yes. Domestic chargers are usually hard-wired on a dedicated circuit. If you rely on on-street parking, we can still advise on practical options.

Will the Hypervolt work with my energy tariff?
Yes — use the app to schedule around off-peak windows and enable intelligent modes where available.

Is an earth rod required?
Not typically. Hypervolt includes integrated PEN fault protection designed to eliminate the need for a separate earth rod on most PME supplies.

Do you cover my area?
Yes. We’re based in Newton-le-Willows and regularly work across Warrington, St Helens, Wigan and Greater Manchester.
